Swiss Vitamin Institute
French Italian German Spanish This Institute, founded in 1931, maintains a key position in the analysis of vitamins in food, pharmaceuticals and cosmetics. In the last 10 years the Institute has extended its services to the analysis of biological samples, in particular human serum. It has also closely collaborated in the "EURAMIC" project of the EU for the determination of antioxidant vitamins.
The Swiss Vitamin Institute has been accredited in 2006 by the Swiss Accreditation Service (SAS) as Testing laboratory for Vitaminanalyses in biological fluids in accordance with the Standard ISO/IEC 17025 (STS 462).Official control laboratory for vitamins recognized by :
- The Federal Office of Public Health
- Swissmedic, Swiss Agency for therapeutic products
- Santésuisse, Swiss insurer-diseases
- European Commission, Joint Research Centre (JRC), Institute for Reference Materials and Measurements (IRMM)
OUR SERVICES
We analyze all vitamins, as well as the distribution of unsaturated fatty acids, using the most modern methods (HPLC and microbiological method on microplate) and within the shortest deadlines (1 day for 1 vitamin).
OUR CUSTOMERS
They are either food and pharmaceutical industries of international reputation, or small and medium size enterprises. Hospitals and other health institutions send us serum samples for vitamin assay. (Download our form)

We participate in interlaboratory comparison of vitamin samples in Switzerland and abroad (e.g. the National Institute of Standards and Technology, Gaithersburg, Maryland, U.S.A.).
